Losing connectivity to Epson Stylus C60

I have an iMac connected to Epson stylus C60 via a keyspan USB Hub. I am running OSX 10.1.4 and the most recent Epson driver. Whenever I attempt to print (any App) I get message the connection to printer was lost. If I stop the print Queue, and restart it I can retry and successfully print that job. If I boot into OS 9 I can print with no problems, this leads me to belive the issue is with X. Any suggestions?

It's some sort of Epson driver issue; I have a bunch of other USB devices which never lose the connection, but my Epson C80 loses it quite regularly ... I believe the short-term fix is to not use Classic. I think I read that if Classic isn't running, you won't have this problem.

Since I always have Classic running (until they carbonize Photoshop Elements for us lightweight graphics hackers!), I gotten used to resubmitting jobs and sending "I'm annoyed" emails to Epson.

griffman thanks for the classic tip, it worked. Since OS9 is "dead" I shouldn't be using it anyway (ha-ha)
