Unhappy Odd network config

I have an interesting setup. The internet comes through a cable modem to a Linksys ethernet router. Connected to the router is an Airport Base Station in Eth1 and a WinXP machine in Eth2. My PowerBookG4 (Panther) connects to the internet wirelessly through the Airport. I want to get my two computers to see each other.

I understand that in order to accomplish this I have to get the two separate networks to talk to each other. I just don't know how to do that.

For clarification:
Linksys uses 198.162.1.x addressing.
Airport uses 10.0.1.x addressing and is connected to internet through 198.162.1.100 on Linksys.

I have read that it may work if I can get the Airport to use 198.162.2.x addressing, but I can't seem to set that. Also I have tried connecting using "nested" IP addresses. For example: when trying to map a network drive from WinXP (198.162.1.101) to MacOSX (10.0.1.2), I considered that WinXP had to look "through" the Airport, so I attempted to map \\198.162.1.100\10.0.1.2\*MyUserName*\.

I had everybody talking and getting along nicely when my apartment was uber-wired, but I like the freedom of wireless. Also, it sounds petty, but I can't really afford a wireless card for my PC at this point. I know that would solve my problem, but I have to work with what I can.

If there is anyone who can help, please do. Thanks.

It should be quite easy to get what you want.
All you have to do is configure the Airport basestation to be in "bridge" mode - where it merely transfers the packets to the LinkSys. I.e. you don't want the basestation to being doing NAT or DHCP (which is what is assigning 10.x.x.x addresses to your wireless machines. Turn those off using Airport Admin and all should be well. In my version of Airport Admin, this is done under the "Network" tab by unchecking the checkbox "Distribute IP addresses" after which a note appears at the bottom that mentions that you are now in "bridge" mode.
