Dock/Dual Monitors
Any idea of how I can make my dock be on the right side of the left monitor of a two monitor setup? If I choose "right" placement in the system prefs or Tinker Tool, the Dock goes to the right side of the right monitor, not the main monitor which is the left one.

Well I figured as much.
Seems like "next release" is an answer to many questions. |

I find that leaving it on the bottom is the best option for me. on either side it is just too fat to mouse over. I would like the ability to have "mirrored" docks that can be on a second monitor. on the far left and right would be kinda cool.

This app was mentioned in a separate thread a few days ago; just maybe it can do what you want. http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8288

Has anything else been discovered besides this app, yet? It doesn't show running apps in it.
I found this other thread: http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=52980 http://www.freerangemac.com/TransparentDock2.html I can't run transparent dock because I'm on an Intel Mac. Any other suggestions? I want to do just like the previous post - 2 monitors, monitor on the left is not the main monitor but I want to keep the dock on the right of the left monitor. It seems so simple, why hasn't Apple thought of this?!? |
