Unhappy Can't Connect To Internet Via VPC

I recently upgraded my VPC from 5 to 6 and now it won't show web pages. It sees them but won't display them. My wife needs to use the internet for her job. I've tried everything under the sun, and was hoping someone else has had/fixed this problem.

I can still usually connect under VPC 5 but the program usually hangs up loading Windows, thus the reason for the upgrade.

P.S.

I run Windows 2k pro, if that helps
and thanks in advance if you can help me out.

how are you determining that it's seeing the pages? ping or the web browser? I'm not too familiar with VPC, but check the IP Windows is using.

At the bottom of the browser it says "web-site found, waiting for response".
I assume the connections their, it just won't dispay the page.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm on a cable modem so It's not because of a lost phone connection.
