Cloned my hard drive and everything works great with the exception of Terminal. When I launch terminal, a window comes up and it is the shows only the red dot to close the window and about 3 lines of white space below it. The whole window is about the size of my Safari buttons.
Is there a preference file that got corrupted? Any ideas? Thanks Jaimie |

I think this can happen when the font that terminal is set to use is not available. Try setting the font to a known good font via terminal->window settings.. and use the Display pop up at the top.

Choosing fonts
What happened to me is that I chose the font through the terminal prefs but it kept saying "null" or something like that. I went into my font book and noticed that the fonts that I had chosen were turned off. I enabled them and it worked fine. Don't know about your situation but it is what worked for me.

Thanks,
I deactivated some fonts and than activated them again from FontBook. Now everything is OK. |
