How do get Eudroa addresses into Mail (Apple)?
Most everyone at our work uses Eudora. Our IT person sends out an updated address file each month that is placed in the Nicknames folder. I have been using Mail for the past 6 months. I would love to be able to get those names and email addresses into my Mail program. If I wasn't clear, I am using Apple's mail program with OSX 10.2.8
Any thoughts Peter |

Re: How do get Eudroa addresses into Mail (Apple)?
What follows holds good in Panther. If I remember rightly, also in Jaguar. In /Libary/Scripts/Address Book Script, there is a script that can tranfer addresses in Eudora. Probably puts them in OS X's Address Book. But that should be fine for you. Eh? Last edited by Roy Vincent; 03-18-2004 at 08:07 PM. |

Eudora to Mail export
I attempted to do the export using the script but it didn't work. It said "No contacts found to export". Perhaps it is the way my Eudora is set up. Our IT person had us create a folder called Nicknames Folder in the Eudora Folder, in the Documents Folder. In that folder we have placed a text (txt) file with all of the names, nicknames and email addresses of the people at work. Is there someway to get this file or these names into the right place in Eudora so that the Script will recognize them as "contacts" and export them into Mail?
Thanks |

You didn't mention which version of Eudora you're using but you might try this program to export Eudora to vCards.
http://homepage.mac.com/aamann/Eudora_vCard_Export.html Once done you can drag and drop the vCards in to the OS X Mail application. =Joxer |

How to get Eudora addresses into the Apple address book

However, you can't initiate the transfer with this script. You need to run the Import Addresses.scpt and then choose the application to import from. |

Eudora Mailbox Cleaner
do not over look this one from the same fellow:
http://homepage.mac.com/aamann/Eudor...x_Cleaner.html I had semi good resutls with this on Mac version... Windows may have way more complex data formats, I am guessing... So make a backup of your Address Book before embarking. |
