The problem with browsing and changing things in the finder is permissions (unless you're using something like bbedit). Just bite the bullet and use pico, it's quick simple and easy.
To turn on apache do as schwartze says, can't be easier. You can also do it manually: % sudo pico /etc/hostconfig WEBSERVER=-YES- I have to agree with an earlier comment, if you're going to get into apache, php, etc. etc. you will need to have some unix knowledge. It takes time but it's very very rewarding. v who is currently reading "mastering regular expressions" |
