OK. My workplace has just bought me a 15 G4 PowerBook (mmmmm) but I'm really struggling to get my VPN connection with the office to work!!!
Once connected to the VPN the internet connection to my mac is painfully slow, yet my home windows machine, connected to the same VPN server and sharing the same ADSL router flies along quite happily - grrrr. Ideally, I want to be able to use X over the VPN but at the moment it's takin over a minute to open a Nedit window on the work machines from home. Anyone else had problems with OS X (Panther) VPN? BTW: I tried a demo of Digitunnel and that hasn't made much difference either Help!

Firewall problems?
Which VPN client are you using? |

Don't think it's the firewall on my Powerbook (same problem if I turn it off) or at work (since my XP machine is fine).
I've tried the native Panther VPN client and Digitunnel - no joy with either. I can connect OK - it's just sooooo slow! |
