OSX Disk Doubler/DD utility

I've found a small stock pile of old font cd's from my OS Classic days. Problem is all of the files are compressed with a program called DiskDoubler (files have an icon that looks like a page with the letters DD on it) Stuffit won't decompress these files. Anyone know of something that will that is compatible with OSX Jag or OS9 Classic. Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate if you don't then Happy Last Thursday In November.

Hi digiglyphics!
Browsed for disk doubler, and found a comparable question,
with the answer that Stuffit should decompress these files (.dd).
Since it apparently doesn't, you could perhaps use an older version of Stuffit (browse around).

Try this link to find a possible alternative.

Problem is; is that this war chest of fonts I found is so old and Disk Doubler is so yesteryear. I can't find a copy on my hard drive. I obviously would have saved it had I remembered I had this disk. And the good folks at the font company (which doesn't exist anymore as far as I can tell) didn't bother to put a copy on the disk. My old copy of stuffit deluxe didn't do it justice either. Who knows maybe these damn things are all corrupt. thanks gang. Will let you know if I come across a fix, but this problem should be unique to designers who go back and dig up archives and treasure chests in the vaults of the office, like me.

You could try downloading Norton Expand which, according to the Symantec site, will "... restore and expand archives created by Norton Fastback 3.x and Norton DiskDoubler Pro".

I haven't downloaded or tested this (not having any DD files to hand) but it might work.
