Question OSX Page Setup Inconsistencies

The "Page Setup" window which allows you to adjust the type of paper, the type of printer, the scale, etc is accessible from many different applications that I use (MS Excel/Word/Entourage, Now Calendar, PDF files,
etc).

In OS-X, the "Page Setup" window defaults to Printer Type "Any Printer", Paper Size "A4" and Scale "50%". You have to change all 3 of these every time you want to print. Is there a way to change the defaults so they stay the same every time Page Setup is opened?

Ideally, I should never have to open Page Setup and adjust anything because the default should be what I always use (my preferred defaults: Printer Type "Epson Stylus 880i", Paper Size "US Letter", Scale "100%").
