apple powerbook g4 wont turn on.

i just got this & it worked last night and this morning but onece it ran out of battery then it shut off, i charged it and it wont turn back on now.

the charger is plugged in and green, the battery says it is fully charged.

when i press the button to turn it on it makes a noise on the right side it sounds mechanical, and then it beeps on the left side, then nothing, i did this 10 different times and waited 30 minutes and no screen was on, but the battery was draining & some of the lights on the laptop were on.

this is my 1st mac type product, i hate it. please help me get it running.

Can you give us some details about your PowerBook?
If you just bought it, you should know the screen size, and the processor speed.

Beeps?
How many beeps do you hear?
Beeps at first power (if you hear 3 beeps together) often means that the RAM memory needs to be reseated - a simple task.

15.2 inch screen.
1.67 ghz,
3 quarters of a gig of ram.

i only hear one beep, if i hold down the power button for 30 seconds there is 2 or 3 beeps sometimes spaced 10 seconds apart.

dayoo at the end of the day you "found/bought" a 7 year old laptop and you "hate" it as it is more than likely faulty....err i do not see your logic. Go an buy a PC laptop from 7 years ago and you will find the same problem...it is old end of life and probably not worth the hassle as most modern software will not run on it.
