iOS 5 built-in dictionary question

I love the iOS 5 dictionary, and i have a question.
I have discovered that if my highlight a word in Japanese and choose define I am taken to a great Japanese-English dictionary. However, if I select an English word, I always get the english-english definition. Conversely, when i switch the OS to japanese and highlight an english word I get a great Japanese-English dictionary, and if I select a japanese word, I can only get the japanese-japanese dictionary.

The question is: is there a way to choose which dictionary to look the word up in??

I believe it is English only for the meantime.
