Textedit Viewing HTML

Hey,

For some reason when i save or create html pages, and try to edit them in TextEdit, the program renders the page, instead of giving me the code. I'm sure there is something i overlooked.

Thanks in Advance,

Sam Novak

the only way i was able to get the raw text was to open the html file from textedit's open menu item and select:

[x] ignore rich text commands

Try BBEdit Lite.

It doesn't suck.

In TextEdit's prefs, in the Rich Text Processing section, you can tell it to not process HTML for all documents you open, instead of merv's suggestion of each time you open.

Hydra for text editing

Hydra is a nice, free text editor. It automatically colors the HTML tags.
