Remote speakers through airport express

Hi,

I want to connect two speakers in two different rooms to some sort of audio streaming device. After doing some research I think that Airport Express would be the ideal solution due to the audio output capability.

What I want to know whether I can just connect the speakers to a 3.5mm jack plug and insert it to Airport Express ?
