I have downloaded iPhoto but when I try to install the appl.
I get an error-window telling me that "your currently preferred destination folder is write-protected. If I try to choose another folder or place, I always get the same result. What is wrong???

delete what you have downloaded and try again...
i also had problems the first time i tried to install iPhoto.
the second or third or fourth time around, things went well. the install program will allow you to click on the little key so that you can enter your administrative password (you become the su - superuser) which gives you the permission to write anywhere. keep trying until you get the installation window and then look for that little key (it SHOULD be more prominent) and then click on it and enter the administrative password. you may not have done this in your previous attempts....it took me several trys before i got it correct. let me know if i can help further... eric rehnke erehnke@mac.com |
