mail.app main window GONE. help.

how's it going. the main window in my mail.app has disapeered. i've gone through all of the view options and show options. but nothing seems to help. i can bring up a new compose window, but i can't see the mail i already have. i've taken my account out of mail, exited mail, rebooted, went back into mail, added my account... but still nothing. also mail won't quit. it just sits there, for hours. so i have to force quit it with apple+alt+esc. any suggestions ideas anyone has would be great. thanks. hit me up on aim: synthanide77.

nope. doesn't work. i checked for updates on mail, but i haven't seen any.

Anything in the logs? Check out /var/log/system.log
Try moving the preferences?
Quit mail, move "~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist" to your desktop and then open mail. Does it work? Trash that .plist. If not, you can always put it back.
