i am farily new to the whole KDE thing but i have noticed that some screenshots of the windows (on other sites) do not show the red yellow and green buttons that are common now in os X. i want to go back to the kde title bar at the top i think is still an X but it is square. basically i dont want to use apple's window manager. but i am not sure how to do this.
thanks. adam |

troypolla,
Write a ~/.xinitrc file with: Code:
source /sw/bin/init.sh /sw/bin/startkde /sw/var/log/kde.log 2>&1 |

Well, the way above is not using the quartz-wm.
What you probably want is to use X11 in "fullscreen mode", eliminating the aqua desktop altogether. But, it can't be done with Apple's X11 at the moment as it only supports 'rootless mode'. It works with XDarwin which supports fullscreen mode. |
