BootCamp: No wifi in Win7?
Not sure if this is the right section for this.
My wife has a 2006 MacBook running 10.6.7 and I recently put Windows 7 Ultimate on it for her so she can use some programs and games that arent on OSX. Everything works fine, I can connect to the net over ethernet, but when I try to connect to wifi it instantly gives me an error message. I've installed BootCamp updates up to 3.2 and tried the four different drivers available to me (even the windows provided one) for the Atheros wifi card. It shows that the card is working and that it can see my home wifi network. But when I hit the "connect" button it always says there is an error. No dialogue box to put in the WEP key ever comes up. I have tried manually adding the network as well which gives me the same errors. I'm on a FIOS Actiontec router if that makes any difference. I've read about errors in OSX's wifi when people install Win7, but I'm experiencing the opposite. Any suggestions to get this working correctly? |
