Processor Speed.. Big difference?
Hey guys, so since the new Macbook Airs came out, I've really been thinking about purchasing one. Anyways, I'm planning to get the 13.3" 256gb model, but I'm kind of unsure of whether I should get the 2.13Ghz processor or keep it at 1.86Ghz. I'm pretty sure that I will be getting 4gb of ram instead, but I'm not sure if I should choose the faster processor.
So my question is, would I notice a big difference between the two? If it makes a difference, here is some of the things that I do on my current Macbook: - Web browsing - Listening to music - Watching movies - Chatting - A bit of Photoshop - Word processing (as well as Powerpoint/Excel and all that stuff) |

"a bit of Photoshop" will be the deciding factor. What's a bit? Cropping and brightening the occasional photo, or working with a multi-layered art project?
If it's something that smaller graphics editors can handle then you'll be fine with the slower processor. |

Well, when I said 'a bit', I meant like, not often :P Anyways, I don't use Photoshop very often anymore, but when I do, I do use multiple layers but it's not a huge project or anything. It's usually just a quick banner, avatar or a small picture for someone's signature. They're just small things that people request on forums. |

Well, obviously, the faster machine will appear "a bit snappier".
However, the tasks that you list are well within the capabilities of all modern machines, and should not cause any trouble on either computer. Get the most Mac you can afford. |
