Convert .rar files to .dmg
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me how to convert downloaded .rar files to .dmg files so I can use them on my G5.
Thanks in advance |

What OS do you have on the G5? If you have at least 10.3 you can install MacPAR deLuxe and extract the RARs there. If you can't use MacPAR, you could extract the RARs somewhere else and use DiskUtility to create a disk image from the folder containing the extracted files.
I doubt you'll find a process which directly converts the RAR to DMG without extracting to intermediary files. |

You can try The Unarchiver or UnRarX on your G5:

Not to steal the thread but is there a free rar extract for Windows? I'm currently using
http://www.rarlab.com/ but would like a free alternative for the dark side.
