Can I get Mail.app to print the email without the attached images

I'm moving from Entourage to Mail. I just want to print the text, but not the full image when I print out emails. I get a lot of attached images and Mail always wants to print them - even when I am viewing the attached image as an icon. I just need to file a paper copy for my work, but I am burning through ink. I'm stuck. Anyone have more ideas?

More information

Oh yeah, I am running 10.6.3 . I have seen other people posting to forums about this, but I haven't found a solution yet.

Step 1: With the message selected, click View>Message>Plain Text Alternative in the menu bar.

Step 2: Print.

P.S. If you will be doing this often, use the keyboard shortcuts ⌥⌘P followed by ⌘P.

The image remains

I just tried it, no luck. This only affects the text. The image remains, but the text changes formatting to plain.

Get the latest version of TinkerTool, http://www.bresink.com/osx/TinkerTool.html. TinkerTool will display a Snow Leopard tab (for Snow Leopard users) and under it a setting for:

Mail: Don't display contents of attachments inline

Check it. Restart your Mac.

Now, when you print from Mail, you'll print only the name of the attachment along with the message itself.

You are right

I had to log off and log back in for it to work. Same setting but I set it from the Terminal using the "defaults" command.
Entered this line into Terminal:
defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing -bool yes

Got it from here - micahgilman.com

@macosnoob, I set it a few hours ago, tested, failed. logged out, and I didn't realize that it worked for printing until I saw your post and logged in to test it again. This is great. Thanks.
