Reducing file size of .Mov files

I have some .mov files that i created that are around 200-300mb in size. I would like to drastically reduce the size (maybe to around 25mb?) of those files while still maintaining viewing quality. What exactly should I do? Are there any special settings I have to apply to these files?

what format are they in now..(mp4,h.264...)
also what are your viewing means ( computer.. TV.. Ipod )

They are .mov files that I saved with Quicktime 7. I would like to view them on my computer and maybe my ipod so I am looking for some kind of sweet spot format that I can save them in that would work on both while at the same time, reducing the file size.

Quicktime (PRO) export for web - iPod or Desktop. It would be surprisingly good quality. File sise 10 times smaller that your usual.
But from the picture it appears you have rather long movies and you may have reached the sise-quality barrier with xVid already.

You can also give Handbrake a shot. It converts and resizes videos... But remember, when trying to decrease the size of a movie file, you will lose quality along the way.

If I need to send a video to someone, is there a way to compress it to a smaller size? Is there anything out there that will compress a video file (.avi. .mov etc...), to a really small size so that I would be able to send it through dropbox or maybe some other similar means?
