Question Printing from Classic via CUPS

I'm trying to print to a Windows shared Laserjet 5 (the bosses) from my Mac. I can print to it via CUPS in OS X applications but would also like to print to it from an old Classic application we still use. Has anyone had success in doing this? I configured the printer on another Mac running X and set it up for printer sharing. I can print from X applications. I then used the OS 9 Desktop Printer utility to try and print via IP. The jobs goes through be prints multiple pages of random text.

Thanks in advance

remember in classic you have to setup the printer in the chooser. go to applemenu then select chooser if the printer does not show up then you should install it under your os 9 folder (which is required to run classic). also here is a kbase article i found off apples website. hope this works

You may wish to try something like print to pdf or some other method of saving the classic printjob as a file
