Application to change IP address?

Does anyone know of an app to change my IP address to make it look like I'm surfing from the UK whilst in France. I would so much like to access iPlayer from my house in France but there are restrictions in place on the BBC iPlayer website. Thanks.

Only by using a proxy site in the UK; something like http://www.proxysite.co.uk/. You go there and they pass you on. Of course, the site you're trying to spoof may block that one.

Your location says Oxford, so you could set up a web proxy on your own computer - the software is pre-installed and just needs to be enabled.

Prerequisite is a global IP address at your place in Oxford.

I didn't know OS X had Proxy software, AMO. How do you set it up?

How do I obtain a global IP address and how do I use the OSX Proxy software?

If your IP Address is in these ranges:

10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

then you're inside a NATed router; your computer is not visible outside the router.

If your IP Address changes from time to time, it's dynamic.

If your IP address is constant, it's static and proxiable.
