Front Row = No DVD deinterlacing?

Just been doing a few tests playing TV series on DVD on my mac mini connected to an HDTV.

It seems that dvdplayer.app has a couple of deinterlace settings that help get rid of "comb" edges in fast motion areas of the picture quite well.

But it seem that playing the same DVD through Front Row, there is no deinterlacing happening at all.

Done some googling and can't seem to find a definitive answer. Does anyone else notice this, and is there anything that can be done?

(It will only be noticeable under certain circumstances: most likely older TV series on DVD. Film DVDs probably shouldn't do it)

Just thought I'd bump this, as I posted it right in the holiday season!
