Safari: Opening Google results in new tab?

When you highlight text and right click to choose "Search With Google", the results are displayed in the same tab.
Can the results be opened in a new tab instead?

Hold down the Command key when you click on "Search in Google".

Being a Firefox user for years I find this so annoying. I've finally come back to safari because I want to like it best and the newer releases are better IMO but it's these little trivial things that irk me. I'm living with it but I feel your...grievance(?)...
