Smile script to disconnect inactive users on network share?

I am a new user, I want to know, can i create my own scripting file. I am working in a media industry where I am working as a support engineer. Our News server are Mac Pro 3.1 with OS X 10.5, our Editing systems are Mac Pro OS X 10.5. When first 10 users editing systems connect to server then 11th user fail to connect with server, As there is a limit for 10 users in OS X. Is there any script or hint that server automatically disconnect IDLE user (Not sending or receiving with server) after a predefined time. while communicating users remains connect, or even can i create a pool in script that every user remain connect within a specified time slot

Thanks
Kindly help me

You can try to get around this a few ways...

1) purchase a copy of OS X Server and have it host your files. That way you don't have the client limit.

2) Look at some open source networking protocols like NFS or Samba.

3) Train your users to disconnect when they are done.

As for writing your script, I guess there are ways to do this but I can't think off the top of my head how to monitor inactivity with out running OS X Server.

Manual Linux Script to Disconnect inactive users on Network

Sorry for the incomplete information. We are using Clients OSX both in On-Air Servers and Editing Suites. I have to mention We have two types of Units. First is Editing Suites second is Transmission Suites. We normally call Transmission suites as On-Air servers. Editing suites are that system where News Control Rooms Photages, Packages, Promos are captured or they Export Photages, Packages, Promos towards Transmission Suites(On-Air Servers). Transmission Suites are that systems in which Editing suites sent their Packages and photages from News Control Room or Some other Editing Suites Pick their required Package, Photoage, Promo from Transmission suite(On-Air Server). so the duty of Transmission servers and Editing suites are bi-directional. multiples editing suites are connected with Transmission servers for a long time. Transmission servers send the photage, package towards satellite department or receive some Live Feeds from Satellite department.
My question is still that is there any possibility that inactive Editing suite automatically disconnected from Transmission server

I think your best bet is to host there on a server with unlimited client connections. I am not sure how you would check if the connection was idle or not, or if that is even possible from a scripting stand point.
