Constant App quits on new Macbook Pro

I've had my Macbook Pro for about a month. I get constant, random app quits (I've pasted a couple of truncated crash reporter logs below.)

Hardware test and RAM tests check out OK.

I set it up using the Migration Assistant from my old iMac (Intel), which began life as a Tiger machine.

I'm hoping for help with a diagnosis - hardware problem, despite the tests? Or something copied by the migration assistant that is causing the problem? If that's the case, can I track it down - or am I looking at a reformat and then manual install of all my stuff?

Any other thoughts would also be appreciated.

Here are the pasted logs. I can post a full crash report, if that would help.

Try this....

Have you got access to an external HDD you can boot the Macbook from ? Do a clean install onto the external HDD to the same version of Mac OS as the internal drive, boot from that and install the troublesome applications and test them. If they work OK, I would then copy the application preferences from the external HDD and replace the ones on the internal HDD.

At least if it is "Fixed" when booted from the external HDD, you will know it it is likely to be a software setting/preference error, or disk corruption of some sort on the internal drive.

I would also flush the Caches on the internal drive with "Snow Leopard Cache Cleaner" (deep clean all) and check the SMART status of the internal drive with "SMART Utility".

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Nick

Thanks - I've attached three crash reports, including a report of a textedit crash that occurred while I was trying to create these attachments.

As a troubleshooting test, try removing the system hacks that are boldfaced above, then restart. Does the problem go away?

Oooh, these InputManagers are even worse! While doing your troubleshooting test, try removing these and every other InputManager that you have installed first.
