Question Shutdown Taking Longer Than Usual

After installing Snow Leopard when it was released, I definately noticed how quick the computer shuts down. Lately though, I've noticed that the shutdown sequence has been taking longer than usual. I decided to browse through the console logs and I noticed that the error, "WindowServer[66] bootstrap_look_ip failed: Unknown service name" kept repeating each second for the next 15 seconds or so before shutting down. Anyone know what this means and how I can fix it? It's not a huge thing but I like to nip small problems before they bite me later on. I included the entire log between the time I hit the shutdown button and when the log ended for that session:

I'm seeing this in relation to a failed launch of Cisco VPN client.

failed rcode=-2147417855

I noticed the same line in your errors. Did you figure out the problem?

I haven't found a solution yet for this problem, and it doesn't occur all the time. While I can't isolate any factors that might be causing it, I've since moved my USB external drive from this system to my home media server and I've noticed that the delayed shutdown happens less often.

Thanks! I've only noticed delayed shutdowns when I've had network volumes or printers mounted that were no longer available, due to having logged out of VPN or for some other reason. I got into the habit of unmounting such things before attempting shutdown.
Your log looks like it was an external disk issue.
