Unhappy getting links to point to the right program (help)

How do I get a link in eudora or mail.app to point to Internet explorer? Once of my macs opens Netscape in system 9 and the other mac opens safari. Where are the settings for this to make the change?

thanks, David

Make the setting here:

System Preferences > Internet > Web tab

Eudora (at least 5.2 for OS X, which I use) actually keeps its own preference for URL helpers (ie, what apps to use for web links, etc). The way to change it is to find an email with an http:// link, then hold down the option key and double-click the link. Eudora will respond with a dialogue asking you to "Choose an application to do http." You should locate and select your new favorite browser, and Eudora will remember that setting.
