New Passport External....How do I set this up?

Hey all you Mac lovers.
I had to get a new EHD. My other one quit working.
I plugged this in and it opened up WD Anywhere backup and backed up my HD.
How do I go about making this so that my photo's in lightroom are also backed up so I can access them easily? Do I not have to hook this up with Time Machine? I need help!
Thanks
Kaiser

If you want to use Time Machine, I suggest removing WD Anywhere, and erasing the disk with Disk Utility. Choose MacOS Extended for the format. After you erase, you will be asked if you want to use Time Machine.

Do I have to use Time Machine? What do you think is better?

I'd say go for timemachine, it gets the job done and if you for some reason have to make a clean wipe of the system at some point you can just use the migration assistant to return back to where you left off.
