Router configurations

I am new to the Mac. I have a wired/wireless network which was (until now) all Windows or Linux. Now that there is a Mac on the network, I am wondering if the router needs any special configs.

I have already tripped over one such setting. I could not get the Mac to recognize that my wireless HP All-In-One (6500) had a scanner capability until I enabled Multicast Streams.

Are there any other settings I should be concerned with?

Note - my router is a D-Link DIR-655.

No not really Multicast is required by "Bonjour"

Make sure you are using WPA2-PSK or better security on your wifi
