Renaming a mounted volume
I've reformatted a CORSAIR volume PZV in FAT32 using the following command.
do shell script "diskutil eraseVolume \"MS-DOS FAT32\" PZV /Volumes/CORSAIR" I now want to rename the volume from PZV to PZV&USBNUMBER where USBNUMBER is equal to "10001" or "10002" or "10003" or .... THe outcome would be that the volume will then name PZV10001 or PZV10002 or PZV... The USBNUMBER is a sequential number which will always be five digit long. Does someone knows where I could find some information on what I am attempting to do? P.S.: I've posted this thread on another forum hoping to get and advise. With regards, thanks for your help! You can rename it in Finder, just like you rename files.
