Old mail inaccessible

Hi,

I'have a difficult situation with mail (6.2 on 10.8.2). The old mails (since december 2012) that are on local folder on my mac are not accessible from the message tab. I can see the mails in the list, I can open them, but when opening them, I have a white empty window with the timer and the message "Charging" and the content never comes.

To reproduce the case it is easy : I go in a mailbox "on my mac" select an old message (earlier than late December 2012) and I have the problem.

I tried to reconstruct one mailbox but as a result, the mailbox is now empty. I tried to export a mailbox, the export is empty. I checked in the "Mail folder" in my Library (in the finder), and the mails are there, they are not lost. What is broken is the link between the messages in Mail and the messages in the folder. Somehow I need to rebuild an index or something like this.

Any idea?
Thank you

Import Mailboxes

Just "Import Mailboxes" under the File menu, keeping track of which is which so you can then Select All and move those messages to the right mailbox, whether it is Sent, Inbox, Drafts, whatever.
