Opening a new window/file - simple question.

My new windows, e.g., when clicking on a .dmg, do not come to the forefront anymore. I am running latest ML on a 2011 Mini, 16GB RAM.

They used to.

What have I changed? I want them to come to the forefront again.

i have noticed the same issue. im sure they always used to come to the front. i wonder if this is a change in Mountain Lion ?

I'm hoping someone can enlighten us as I get a shed load of .pdf every day and I have to go find them after unzipping them and that is irritating after never having had to, never mind with .dmgs.
