Can you assign a keystroke to a hot corner?

Can you assign a keystroke to a hot corner?

For example, I want to assign option-D (toggles something in some app I use) to a hot corner.

The "hot corner" is used for system-wide screen control actions. I don't think there's a way to limit a hot corner to some, well, limited use for just one app.
You CAN assign different actions to (trackpad) gestures, which may get you what you want: http://mac.tutsplus.com/tutorials/pr...s-on-your-mac/

You misunderstand me. I don't want to limit anything to a specific app. System-wide is exactly what I want and I want to generate a keystroke from specifically a hot corner gesture. So there would need to be a way to assign a keystroke to a hot corner.

But, you did say that you want to assign a toggle for some specific app feature, by using a hot corner.
I think you should keep in mind that "hot corners" really are system-wide - that is, hot corner does a system action, regardless of what app is active, with:
Screen Saver
Mission Control
Launchpad
Dashboard
couple of other actions, but that's it for hot corners.

That's why I suggested gestures, as there's a few gestures that you CAN customize for specific apps.
What exactly do you have in mind?
Can you be more detailed about what you want to do?
There may be other solutions, depending on what you need...

You might want to look into apps such as iKey, which allow you to execute all sorts of user input -- mouse movements, key presses, menu commands, etc, -- by triggering them in various ways.

Try Corner Click.

It still works in 10.8.3.

In fact, it still works in Mountain Lion for me (10.8.3) -- I've got it running an AppleScript to open a bunch of newspapers when I hover in a little used corner (top left on second screen)
