512 vs. 4K Formats via Disk Utility

Never paid much attention but when popping a OCZ Vector into my Macbook Pro it occurred to me that it was not running 4K blocks. Should that not be the default on a modern drive via Disk utility or do you have to attack it from Terminal.

I believe Apple has been using 4K for a while
