Virtual Box: USB devices and Microphones
USB devices Virtual Box and Microphones. Our Radiology Dept has gone Mac crazy Laptop wise. Yes the Radiologits have to use Pc software, we use virtual box becuase its free and fast enough.
We have one issue USB devices like Philips usb mics work on the mac even driverless. In the VM (win7 or xp) those sort of devices are not handed over reliably to the guest OS. Any inline device works lapel mic etc. i have played with virtual box usb filters. Basically though i have not found a reliable way to get the usb mics to be passed over to the vm guest reliably. |

I use Fusion, it simply asks what to do with the device, and wether to remember the choice.

Have you used fusion with a Microphone? Mice and keyboards are not an issue just funky stuff like external USB microphones. We considered fusion we would have to use the player version to make it feasible, only by the full version for us to create the VMs. We would rather stay with VB if we could.
