Firefox: huge memory useage > 500MB
Hi All
OK, so I don't fully understand how much memory any individual app should be using, but compared to all the other apps I use regularly (apart from Lightroom), Firefox uses the most, a lot more than other apps. When I checked, Google suggests it should use around 100MB-150MB. So... here's a screenshot showing it using nearly 650MB!! I have three tabs open; gmail, a photography forum, and this page. ![]() Any ideas? Is this right or should I not be concerned? Thanks all John

FireFox has consistently used a lot of memory. That's one of the reasons I switched to Chrome for daily browsing.

I don't use Firefox, but are you using the current version (13.0.1, I believe)? I'm not making any promises, but the little bit I've read is that newer versions have attempted to address this issue.
