Can you overcharge your iPad battery?
Does it damage the battery if you leave the device plugged in for, say, a few hours after it has reached 100%?

Well, that would be a horrible situation, if the charging circuit was that dumb!
I'll say "no, leaving your iPad connected to a charger for some extended period won't cause damage (by itself)." It essentially cuts off charging at 100% charge, and simply provides power, if needed, while connected, but does not charge the battery more until the battery drops below some level, probably about 95% of full. |
