iTunes Apps Problem With iPad 3

When I connect my iPad to iTunes the entire Apps panel is now 'greyed out' and I cannot add/remove Apps on the iPad.

I have tried Restore and Reset and the problem eventually returned.

I am using iTunes 10.7 and running OS X 10.8.2

Any ideas folks?

Cracked it! Installing Apps had been switched Off under Settings/General/Restrictions
