10.8 Recent Items
Previously I was able to go to System Preferences>General and adjust the number of recent Documents, Apps & Servers separately. However, it seems in Mountain Lion they are now all one as far as System Preferences is concerned, and cannot be adjusted individually.
However a peak at ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist reveals that there are indeed still three different settings. Adjusting the plist does no good though as it is simply reset to match whatever is in System Preferences. Does anyone know of a way to override System Preferences setting or get back the old behavior? I want 10 Applications, 20 Documents, and 0 Servers which makes the most sense given my work flow. Why Apple? why eliminate useful features? please help. |

Perhaps of some help…
Cocktail allows one to easily change the number of Recent Items, but it does not support individual adjustment.
