Mail Mail help please!

Hi

Hoping someone can help with an problem I have in Mac mail.
I'm using a macbook pro 10.7.5. Mac mail 5.3
Every so often I'll send an email and if I go to check it in sent
it has include 6,7,10 random emails from the random times and recipients
in the past!!
Been doing it for months.I think it started when my son got an ipod touch
and we set it up on this computer??

Not sure if the recipient actually gets all additional emails, keep meaning
to ask someone, luckily most of me emails are very boring!!

any help much appreciated

Your post is a little confusing...
Are you saying that when you look in "Sent", you can see an email that you sent, and that SAME email is again sent to the SAME person multiple times?
That may be some glitch in how the messages are listed on your end, and the repeat emails never happened.
I think you may want to choose just one person, and ask them directly if they received multiple identical emails - from YOU..
You may find out that doesn't actually happen - and may be just a minor issue in your Mail software.

not quite.when i look in "sent" i can see the email that i sent but on the right hand side of the list of emails is a grey tablet shaped box with a number in it.
if i click on it, said number of random emails opens below the actual message sent.
This grey box often appears normally showing the previous emails relevant
to the one received but sporadically one shows a load of random unrelated
emails!
hope that makes sense.
will try to ask someone wether they recieve them

many thanks

Sorry, that makes your question even more murky
Although someone else might have seen what you describe, I have not...
I am looking at exactly the same Mail version that you have, and it sounds like you are simply seeing a list of related emails, perhaps with the same subject line, or something else that causes those "random" messages to somehow be listed together.

If you still have problems explaining what you see, then you need to provide a screen shot, please.

you may have solved it actually!!! all the extra emails have the same
subject...my first name.I use it a lot as a subject hence they don't need
to be related in content but just subject.
I must check but i guess that means it's only me that sees them not any
recipients

many thanks
