Macworld Speedmark Tests - are these available to the public ?
Howdy everyone,
as a longtime Mac user, I have often read reviews published by Macworld, especially regarding new Mac models. The speed of new machines is typically tested using a suite that I suppose one could call the Speedmark Test suite. I have tried looking on the internet, but I can't seem to find this suite anywhere. Can I assume that this test suite is for internal use only, and not available to the public ? I use Cinebench by Maxon, mainly because I don't know of any others. Many thanks in advance. |

Processor benchmark tests were useful in the past, but with today's machines the processor is rarely a dominant factor in overall performance. Therefore, one has to ask, what you you need the information for?

Do you want to run the software to test your own machine's performance? Or something else.
The Geekbench website is a well-used benchmark, and you can download their software. They have pretty solid stats for lots of Mac models. |
