mail resent itself?

I sent myself an email from another mac last night at about 9pm local, and received it.

This morning, I see the same email in my "Today" inbox with a delivery time of 8:12am.

I just woke up and I know that I didn't re-send it to myself.

any thoughts on how this could happen?

the only thing I know could even explain it would be OS X Mail Scripts, but that is not only not installed on my Macs, but the author bailed on the project.

not sure how concerned I ought to be, mail re-sending itself....
