Uninstalling Office 2011 - no uninstall app ?

I just realised that Office 2011 has no uninstall app. Can this be right ? I'm sure that Office 2008 and 2004 had some sort of automated uninstall method. The steps to do it are outlined on the MS website, but they all involve manually deleting files in several different places. Am I the only one who thinks this is crazy ? Grrrrrr..........

Dragging the Office apps to the trash is good enough. The other things are just small files that can safely remain. If they bother you, follow those instructions and delete them.

Yep that is a Mac thing really...many programs install crap everywhere and have no uninstaller! unlike windows/linux which everything can be fully removed easily. In saying that with sandboxing becoming the new Apple way it will end up just being dragging a program to trash and deleting. I have often thought that it is a bit lazy of Vendors/Apple but yes the bulk of Office suite can be removed by just removing the Office2011 folder from /Applications and if you want to get rid of rest then it is a manual job or create a script to do it ;-)

Step-by-Step Instructions | How to completely remove Office for Mac 2011

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2398768

Recent issues upgrading to 14.2.4 for adding retina display failed mainly to users that had installed over a current install. Usually dragging the Office folder to the trash then installing works, but this article helps if you need to remove the whole thing.
