There's two aisles of Mini cases at the Yodobashi Camera in Kawasaki. Cheap plastic through to tooled leather. Time for a trip into Bankok!

I own the non mini Bear case. Its very good a little heavy though. I had previously a slimmer leather case for my two Ipad 2s that lasted about 1.5 years. Actually only one of them started do fail. The other is still fine.

I would think with the mini you want something on the lighter side.

I have the Smart Cover, but for upright typing in landscape, its useless. Just tips over.
