Trouble upgrading to Lion 10.7
I am trying to upgrade to 10.7, and the installation is aborted each time giving the error: components needed to install Mac*OS*X.
Below is my system info. Any thoughts? How exactly are you trying to do the upgrade?
This is via the Mac App Store I presume? Did you buy it from the Store recently?

I am using a mini thumb drive bought from apple and mailed to me.

Your system Supports Lion, Not ML. Its from 2006-2007. I would recommend using a utility like CCC (http://www.bombich.com) or Lion Disk maker (http://blog.gete.net/lion-diskmaker-us/) to create a bootable USB stick and do the install from there. You may also need to do a clean install. As always we highly recommend fully backing up before you start or go further.

You probably should call Apple Support about this.
I see that others have had similar problems: https://discussions.apple.com/thread...art=0&tstart=0 with the issues having been diagnosed variously as a corrupted version of the installer, bad RAM, etc.
