making safari remember passwords?

can someone refresh me on where I tell safari to remember passwords to forums and sites? It's the long passwords that are a real pain when this isn't activated..thank you!

It should be Safari Preferences > AutoFill > User Names And Passwords for enabling this.

Hmm. I don't actually use the feature. What do you see when you hit the Edit button to the right of that option?

something next to the site in question that said, "never save passwords" or words to that effect...I removed that, went back to the site, and contradicting what I believe I just had done, there my password was, displayed as all dots...but this time, asked me if I wanted Safari to remember..I said yes.

ah, thank you...another mystery solved!

:-)
