Unable to import pictures
Yes, I do appear to be having issues with my iPod. I just got back from vacation and took more than 100 pictures with my 4th generation iPod. After I arrived home, I have discovered that neither iPhoto or Image Capture can download the photos from my iPod. When I launch either app, both can see my iPod fine, but both insist that I don't have any photos on it. Both the camera and photos apps on my iPod can access the pictures fine, so I do know that the pictures are on the device. iTunes can import photos to mu iPod, but of course, it is not intended to be used to download photos. Yes, I could email the photos to myself, but that is not how this is supposed to work. I just installed the latest iOS patch yesterday, and updated everything else as well. Is there a *nix utility that I could use to open the hood on my iPod? Any assistance would be appreciated.

Well PhoneView worked after a fashion. It could only see 19 of the photos that I took, but after I sent them to iPhoto, that application was able to see and download everything. Go figure. I'll keep it handy in case I need it again.

The photos which you took on your iPod Touch should all be in the Camera Roll. You can access and transfer the Camera Roll photos freely directly from the DCIM folder on your iPod Touch Storage disk by connecting the iPod to your computer.
